Boyd County Fiscal Court
has submitted applications for an acquisition and demolition project funded by FEMA under the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program. The projects will affect properties located in the floodplain in the following areas: Cannonsburg Road, Green Valley Road, and Piqua Street.
Presidential Executive Orders 11988 and 11990 and the National Historic Preservation Act will require that all federal action in or affecting the floodplain will be reviewed for opportunities to relocate and be evaluated for social, economic, historic, environmental, legal, safety considerations. The public is invited to participate in the process of identifying alternative and analyzing the impacts they may have; any effects adverse will be mitigated.
